Do minons get critical hits and will Go For The Eye's up their chances?

From wiki:

"Minions can inflict critical hits. Like animal companions, minion critical hits do not automatically inflict maximum damage."

And since Go For the Eyes works on all allies, it will work on minions too.

Someone showed (I think it was on Guru or the Unofficial Wiki) that GftE does work on minions.

Any idea how criticals work since they "don't automatically inflict maximum damage?"

EDITED:
The damage for an animal companion's critical hits is not based on the pet's maximum damage, instead applying the multpiler to the pet's normal damage range.

So basically, they get a 40% damage boost off whatever they roll for their pathetically low damage ranges.

It caused them to do more damage.

I'm not sure how much more, but I do know it was more.

Yes to both of the first questions. Critical hits are real easy to see with some TexMods.

TexMod info here: http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Guide...-game_graphics

The Critical Hit mod I use is here: http://guildwars.incgamers.com/forum...=460352&page=2

It looks like this:

The Critical image flashes; the effect is quite obvious.

1. Minions do critical.

2. We're not entirely sure how minion criticals work.

3. We think they work as follows:
A when a player gets a critical they get an automatic maximum roll for their weapon (ie a sword will auto-roll a 22; a dagger will auto-roll a 17; etc) and a +20 to their damage baseline (same as if the foe had -20 armor). We're pretty sure that's how players work.
When a minion gets a critical, they get the same +20 to baseline, but no automatic max roll. This seems to match what we see in-game, but it hasn't been tested as thoroughly as player criticals.

Those blue marks are at 50% and 80% HP; they will display on all health bars save your own. That TexMod is Cthon's Libebar 2.0 mod, found in the Cthon's Components thread linked directly above the posted image. I highly recommend that thread, btw, Cthon's mods are quite useful.
